Mar Ortiz-Arce Vázquez

Hey everyone!

My name is Mar, and I’ll be your activity coordinator this year!
I’m 20 and in my second year of the Maastricht Science Programme. I was born and raised in Spain, but I’ve also lived in Ireland. I’m super outgoing and always down for an existential chat about the universe or the passing of time. I love hiking, acting, writing songs, and learning new facts every day.

Back home, I was part of a triathlon team. I couldn’t imagine uni life without swimming, so I joined Tiburón. Besides, my name means sea in Spanish. I guess it was meant to be!

I took on this role because I love bringing people together and creating fun memories. Life’s too short not to celebrate every moment!!
