How do I contact you?

To contact us, you can either fill out our contact form or send us an e-mail. Tiburón’s emails are checked daily!

Can I do a trial practice?

Of course! During the first 2 or 3 weeks of the season, we host the UM SPORTS Try-Five trainings for students who are interested in joining our association. If you would like to do a try-out practice later during the year, please sign up via this form!

If you have any questions regarding try outs, do not hesitate to contact us before you sign up.

How do I become a member?

We would love to welcome you to our team! The only thing you need to do is filling out this form. Once you’ve done this, we will contact you as soon as possible.

How can I report changes? (new address, e-mail, ect.)

If something has changed regarding your personal details (e.g. your address, phone number or e-mail), please let us know, so we can change this in our member database. You can notify us by either sending a text message to one of the board members or by sending an e-mail.

How do I cancel my membership?

We regret to see you leave, but hope you enjoyed your time with us. To end your membership, please send an e-mail to notify us of your cancellation and we will arrange the rest. You will receive a confirmation by e-mail once you are officially removed from our member database.

You can still join us as an ex-tc member (exclusively for old members) by filling in this form!

IMPORTANT: Your membership can only be ended once it has expired. You cannot end your membership in the middle of its term. By contacting us to end your membership, you ensure that it will not be automatically renewed for another year.

I have feedback for Tiburón. How can I let you know?

If you have a complaint or would like to give us suggestions for improvement: please contact us by e-mail, text message, or approach one of the board members at practice.

Can I contact a confidence person?

If you have any struggles with another member, something that happened during practice, or even something personal outside of Tiburón that you want to talk about, you can always come up to the board who will be a listening ear. If it concerns a board member or if you want to talk to someone outside of the board, you can contact the confidence person by sending an e-mail to confidenceperson@mszvtiburon.nl.
Everything you discuss with this person will be kept between the two of you.

Contribution fee

How much is the contribution fee?

The contribution fee for the first year is split up into three categories:

  • Full academic year, signed up before the first of October. The membership fee is €50
  • Full academic year, signed up after the first of October. The membership fee is €55
  • Half year membership, sep-jan or feb-aug. The membership fee is €35

These fees include a € 7,50 Tiburón T-shirt for new members.  When a membership is renewed, these costs will not be charged again.

Next to our contribution, you need to have a UM SPORTS card with at least the ‘sports’ category.

Can I become a member for half a year?

Yes for sure, the half-year membership will be in the periods: sep-jan or feb-aug. The membership fee is €32,50 and all new members get a free Tiburón T-shirt.

How do I pay my contribution?

Tiburón works with a system of direct debit. Unless you announced to pay via a bank transfer. We work with 4 payment periods. The first one is in the middle of November. You will get an e-mail from us in the beginning of November with the payment instructions. This will include the members’ fee and – if you participated – other activities.

Will my membership automatically be renewed?

Yes! Your membership will automatically be renewed. At the end of the season, we will send you several e-mails and reminders if you want to stop or want to continue at Tiburón. In those e-mails and reminders will also give the deadline for your deregistration. Did you miss the deadline? Unfortunately, we have to charge the full membership fee. Of course, we hope that this does not have to happen. That is why we always send extra reminders!

How do I sign up for activities and competitions?

For every activity or competition, there will be announcements and e-mails about how to sign up for that event. Most of the time this is by filling in a contact form on the website. The link to this can always be found in a blog post or in the e-mail that is sent to you.
